TEF & AWF Take A Walk On The Wildside Gala Dinner 2018

Gala Dinner:

November 12th - 16th sees our fifth Elephant Week in Hong Kong where we are very honored to have Daniel Ole Sambu and James Mwenda to take part in our schools programme leading up to our fundraising dinner in conjunction with African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), which will be held on 16th November at the Island Shangri-La.

Speakers:

James, a rhino caregiver at the Endangered Species Enclosure at Ol Pejeta, taking care of the last three northern white rhinos on the planet- Sudan, Najin and Fatu. Sadly, Sudan passed away recently in March. He was the last male northern white rhino. James is taking off his busy schedule to come to Hong Kong, to share how he became close to Sudan over the years at the conservancy.

Daniel, a Maasai Warrior and a senior member of the Big Life Foundation. He leads a large team managing predator compensation. He will talk about Maasai culture, the symbiotic relationship with wildlife, the impact of poaching and human wildlife conflict and how the Maasai people are changing their traditional ways to support conservation.
