The Elephant Foundation

The Elephant Foundation is an anti-poaching and conservation charity based in Hong Kong with a particular interest in the conservation of African Elephants in East Africa. We were formed in November 2014 to help raise awareness against the poaching of elephants and rhinos. Elephants and rhinos will be extinct in this generation if nothing is done to stop the demand for their tusk. A large portion of the work that we do at The Elephant Foundation is to educate Hong Kong youths and the general public of the harms that poaching and the illegal ivory trade has on both the animals and communities.

With Hong Kong being the largest consumer of illegal ivory in the world, the issue hits very close to home. There are no winners, both at the poaching source and at the point of sale when elephants and rhinos are extinct.

2022 is a milestone year for The Elephant Foundation as we’ve reached 8 years of education and wildlife conservation efforts.
